I watched this one last night. I haven`t seen this one in at least 10 years. I was impressed with the clean up of the episodes, especially the film sequences. They were a stand out! I loved the opening shot of the castle on the windswept hill. It really puts you into the mood of the story. This story also has a wonderful twist with the Ice warriors being the good guys. The Doctor was really supprised! The aliens that made up the delegates were all very interesting. You had Alpha Centuri with 8 arms and 1 huge eye. Next was Arcturus which was a skull inside a life support system and of course the Ice warriors, last seen attacking earth with the seed pods. No wonder the good Doctor thought they were up to no good! The Doctor and Jo take on the roles of the Earth delegates and works well within the story. At this point in the Doctors Journies, he had been exiled to earth by his people, the time lords and he had lost the knowledge to fly the Tardis. He thought he had successfully overcome this but at the end of the story it became clear it was the time lords themselves that had sent him on the mission. The real earth delegate turns up at the end as the Tardis fades away. The story itself was fun to watch and moved along at a fast pace. All the cliffhangers were well done. All in all a great story!
